From the sewing machine to the online shop
Mireia manages her company alone, from the creation of her collections to the sale in store. She has turned her passion into a profession and is expanding her activities as a whole. Her original style is reflected in her creations: With original and colorful prints.
“The name of my shop comes from this idea: Visto Luego Existo (I wear – so I am). It means that what you’re wearing somehow defines you as a person. The project to open an online store is always impressive, we are afraid that it is too complicated, or that we do not have the time… However, by choosing our e-commerce solution wisely, we have all the chance to succeed. Once you start, everything goes well, and it is very easy. Honestly, I don’t regret getting into e-commerce. It’s a projection of my brand into a market I couldn’t reach before.”
An online shop to reach new customers
There are designer shops all over Barcelona’s Gracia district. Mireia’s boutique is a success: Its wine collections and colorful accessories entice customers passing through the neighbourhood.
“The city of Barcelona is a hub for tourism and the district of Gracia is a must when you visit Barcelona. It’s a lively neighbourhood and many people. When they discovered my shop, they often asked me if it was possible to buy my collections from their home town.”
She created her online shop to meet the demands of these clients who do not live in the neighbourhood.
The fast configuration of the online store allowed her to quickly put her products online and thus extend her visibility by allowing to buy via her e-commerce site.
Mireia is a full-time artist and shopkeeper. She manages her shop and creates her collections from A to Z. For entrepreneurs, time management is essential. Yet she takes the plunge and creates www.vistoluegoexisto.com and explains: “I love my shop because it helps me save the time I need to create my collections. That’s what really matters to me.”
Management from the smartphone: “It’s fast. I take the product picture with my phone and upload it directly to my online store. In 5 minutes, I edit the product description and voilà, the product is available online!”
Promotion on social networks: Mireia, who is very active on social networks, explains that she promotes her shop through social networks: “I show what I have just done, what is new in the shop. I also share the process of creating my products by sharing the links of the online shop or its product pages.”
