Listing products on eBay is now even easier

27. October 2014/0 Comments/in Online shop & ecommerce /by

With 145 million active buyers worldwide, eBay is the world’s leading online marketplace. This enormous coverage and reach means it makes perfect sense to offer the products in your online shop on eBay too. Now, thanks to improvements in the new ePages version 6.17, this is even easier than before.

The ePages shop system lets you list your products on eBay directly from the administration area of your shop. In other words, you don’t need to enter the products separately both in your shop and on eBay.

Until now, you entered eBay listings using the eBay listing wizard provided by your shop software. You can specify all the required parameters for your eBay listings using seven steps such as “Layout” or “Payment” in the wizard. With the new ePages version, which will gradually be rolled out at our partners starting in the coming months, you can edit large numbers of listings comfortably using software such as Excel or OpenOffice Calc.

The whole process functions in a similar way to the import and export of products: for each category you create a basic listing and export it as a CSV file. You then edit the exported file (using Open Office for example) and can then create a large number of new products. Next, you re-import the modified file into your shop, saving you a large number of individual steps.

Detailed instructions on this will be available shortly on our blog.

Please note: some of the changes might be contained within a later version of ePages 6.17.
