Moving from tables to divs in 6.11. – impact on the layout

It’s time to say goodbye to HTML tables. With version 6.11. ePages is switching to DIVs as the basic element for the layout structure. By doing so we are not only improving the performance of the whole system and the structure of ePages but also setting the cornerstone for the improved storefront for mobile devices. If you have created the layout of your shop by using the standard editors of your backoffice the technological change will have no visible effect on the layout of your storefront. But if you have used self written CSS code to adjust the layout of your shop it might be possible that these layout changes will no longer be in place after the update. Chase Paymentech Europe has announced results from a national survey exploring the challenges faced by UK firms in ‘Customer Not Present’ (CNP) payments. Western European online retail sales are projected to grow 11 percent to reach £153 billion by 2014. On a regional level, several key European countries have seen record growth above the UK’s growth of 160 percent over the past few years: examples include Spain at 199 percent and both France and Italy at 181 percent. ePages shop “PG Bikes” in the news – Orlando Bloom owns Blacktrail

In the ePages blog, we have already introduced the bike manufacturer PG-BIKES, who runs a successful ePages shop. Since late last year, the shop is proud to have a famous fan: When Orlando Bloom stood in front of the camera for the remake of "The Three Musketeers" in Babelsberg, Germany in October 2010, he tested two electric bicycles from PG-Bikes on the set. At that time, director Manuel Ostner followed an invitation of Bloom to come to the set with the exclusive models.

Now Orlando Bloom was also spotted in California with the electric bike, as reported by the biggest german news portal Spiegel Online. Well done, PG-Bikes.
