Here at ePages, we are always looking for new talents willing to grow with us. Actually, we are currently offering new job openings across our various offices in R&D and other departments. In an interview with the Talent Events team Online Karriertag, our recruiter Matthew Murdoch explained the benefits of working for ePages.

1. Why are you present on the online Career Day 2014 in Hamburg?

The Online Career Day is for us a great platform to discover new talents: either young professionals who are currently looking for a suitable job or students who want to gain work experience first through an internship. Already last year we had very good experiences at the event. We got in touch with many talents and introduced ePages as an employer.

2. What makes the digital industry so interesting for you?

Online trade is one of the most exciting industries in general and its prospects are excellent: As a provider of online shops, we are in a segment that forecasts strong and quick development in all our departments.

3. In what areas do you have higher demand of employees?

Particularly in Research & Development, where we have a number of job openings available from our offices in Hamburg, Jena and Barcelona. To be specific, we are looking for front-end and back-end developers to strengthen our SCRUM teams. Experience with JavaScript, NoSQL, Java, Node.js, Backbone.js or Marionette.JS is highly appreciated for these positions.

4. What makes you a good employer?

Employees are always telling us that they especially appreciate the work climate and flat hierarchies in ePages. Those that work at ePages, benefit greatly from excellent social contributions (e.g. reduced transport tickets, lunch allowance or opportunities for individual courses and further education), and can organise their working times to suit them personally. And it’s simply fun to work at a leading international provider of online shop software.

5. What should a perfect candidate bring to your company?

We love e-commerce, and we are looking for applicants who share this passion with us! In addition to professional expertise, a perfect candidate should bring good communication skills and enjoy working in an international team. We insist that our employees are focused, analytical and structured, but of course we also want many creative ideas and the ability to turn them into reality together as a team.
