Facebook is the place to be if you want to promote your brands as well as your online shop. So let´s have a look how the big players are using this communication channel.
25 brilliant examples of Facebook brand pages I love to see brands generating innovative, engaging and creative advertising online. Guest comment: Forget high street vs online – it’s all about cross-channel As purse strings have tightened over the last couple of years, retailers have been forced to make some hard decisions as to where they invest their efforts to attract customers. Some have moved to a solely online offering – Woolworths being a prime example of a shop that fell into liquidation on the high street, only to reopen online within a matter of months – while others have embraced the high street, taking advantage of lower rents and a return to local shopping. Tesco’s expansion onto the UK high street up and down the county is a good illustration to this point. |
It´s always a good thing to know your target group if you want to sell your stuff online. For those of the ePages shop owners who have themselves specialized in goods for women, the following report may be interesting.
How Women Use the Web [REPORT] More women than men across the world visit social networking sites and spend 30% more time per month using them. As such, in the “Women on the Web: How Women are Shaping the Internet (Internet)” report, comScore concludes that women are the digital mainstream, a group of savvy Internet explorers who are more engaged than their male counterparts, and are the primary drivers of online and group buying. comScore analyzed the Internet behaviors of women everywhere and found that while women make up a little less than half of the global online population (46%), their online behaviors drastically distinguish them from male Internet users. |
