The day kicked off with the presentation of our Software Trainer, André Podeyn, about seasonal content and how to continuously update an online shop for a better engagement with visitors. He emphasised that updating the content of the shop does not always mean changing the texts but rather uploading new pictures, videos, products, etc. Everything you can add step-by-step is worth it!
He was followed by Martin Shields from PayPal, who gave an overview of the latest developments in payments and innovations at PayPal. He underlined that merchants should also keep an eye on customer satisfaction, making it as easy as possible for them to checkout by integrating both traditional and online payments such as PayPal.
After a great networking lunch break, Sam Haddadi, director of the agency Digital Clicks, explained how to make the most of Search to gain more customers to your online business.
Sam was followed by Philip Smith from Trusted Shops, who explained the importance of customer reviews -even if they are not always positive- and how to benefit from them to increase conversion at the checkout.
Last but not least was the expert check. During this slot, merchants had the chance to present their online store to all panellists to receive direct feedback and advice from the experts.
