Hamburg loves YOU: ePages event meets Reeperbahn
This past September the annual ePages event, ‘ePages YOU’, brought the global team together in the heart of Hamburg for two days of inspiring keynotes, practical workshops and interactive sessions with merchants and partners. Once again, the focus was on our most important resource, the people who provide tens of thousands of merchants with the innovative tools they need to sell online: The ePages employees and the people in our partner network. We look back on two days in September that reflect what drives ePages at its core.
On this September morning, Hamburg’s notorious entertainment district, the Reeperbahn, is in an unusual, almost melancholy state. Normally filled with the sounds of nightlife, it is now quiet, almost meditative. At the ‘Pauli Spirit’ Klubhaus, a modern location in the district, the first staff members arrive to prepare the location for the upcoming YOU. This year’s YOU is all about Hamburg, the “Gateway to the World”, and welcomes ePages colleagues from Jena, Barcelona, Bilbao and all over the globe.
Inspiration and exchange under the sign of AI and new partnerships
The two-day event opened with a keynote by ePages CEO and founder Wilfried Beeck, who presented his vision for ePages to employees and partners. Steffen Maas, “Chief Unicorn Officer” at AI.Impact, gave an inspiring talk on the role of AI in modern ecommerce. Afterwards, the audience was given a glimpse into the engine room as the product management and sales team provided exciting updates on upcoming features and new market entries.
The afternoon was filled with updates on the recent work with technology partners such as Vilkas, Rezolve, Bloo Kanoo and Maileon. A highlight of the day was the merchant panel, where ePages retailers from SchanzenFit, Rundum Schwangerschaft and Frau Granola shared their experiences and answered questions, giving the audience an authentic insight into the challenges facing SMBs in ecommerce.
AI workshops and interactive sessions
We kicked off the second day with entrepreneur Heidi Stamer. In her keynote, the founder of “Boutique Drinks” and known icon from the German event “OMR” gave inspiring insights into her career path and the importance of gender equality in the digital economy.
The sessions that followed were focused-on interactivity and hands-on working. In the AI workshops, ePages attendees had the opportunity to try out AI tools such as ChatGPT, Vertex AI or Adobe Firefly and experience how AI technologies can revolutionise the way merchants work.
In the afternoon, the event continued with more engagement stations where attendees could contribute valuable feedback and test new ePages features. Building on the input from the first day, the sessions not only encouraged the exchange of new ideas, but also collaborative work on innovative solutions for ecommerce.
An event that connects
ePages YOU 2024 provided the perfect platform to gain both internal and external perspectives on the latest developments in ecommerce. From inspiring exchanges with colleagues, merchants and partners to exciting keynotes and practical workshops, the event organised by Kristof Maletzke was a complete success.
