Here’s how to find out which shop version you are using
As a shop operator, it’s sometimes useful to know which ePages software version your eShop is running on. This blog article explains how to find out the version number.
We recently released the latest version of our software – ePages 6.13.3. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that all ePages shops are running on the latest version. Providers throughout Europe offer our shop software and each provider decides individually which ePages version to offer. While provider X might be running 6.13.3 already, provider Y might still be running 6.13.0. Some reasons for this might be software adaptations or complex function tests.
So how do you find out which version your shop is currently running? It’s simple – all you need is your browser and a simple JavaScript command.

If you are using Firefox, please read further at the paragraph below. Otherwise, do the following: Start your browser and open your eShop – not the administrator area, but rather the eShop itself. Then enter the following text in the address line of the browser and press the enter button:
javascript:alert(ep.config.version)
A window displaying the version number of your shop will appear.
NB: When you copy the text from above and paste it into the address line of your browser, some browsers delete the “javascript:”. You may need to enter this part manually.
Firefox users please take note – this trick unfortunately doesn’t work with Firefox. Instead, you can do the following:
- Open your eShop in the browser.
- Click on the “Firefox” button in the upper left.
- Click on “Web developer”.
- Click on “Web console”.
- Enter in the input request ep.config.version and confirm with the enter button.
- Your shop version will now be displayed.
